Product Lead, New Initiatives, Remitly
Crystal Yan is a product and design leader focused on empowering high impact organizations to be more customer-centric with human-centered design. Currently, she is a Product Lead at Remitly in Seattle, launching new financial services products and businesses serving immigrants, and an independent consultant advising technology companies and coaching product teams. Previously, she led product and UX teams at the United States Digital Service in Washington DC, where she worked at USCIS to reduce the asylum backlog for the US asylum program for 729,000 asylum seekers, and at CMS to make it easier for Medicare to pay for value-based care for 57 million patients. She has worked in the US, India, China, and Cambodia and spoken at technology and design conferences across the US, Mexico, Chile, China, India, Ireland, Germany, Norway, Portugal, and the UK.
