Louis Rosenfeld
Founder, Publisher, & CEO, Rosenfeld Media
Lou Rosenfeld is Rosenfeld Media’s founder and publisher. Like many user experience folk, Lou started somewhere (library science), made his way somewhere else (information architecture), and has ended up in an entirely different place (publishing and conference curation). Lou spent much of his career in information architecture consulting, first as founder of the groundbreaking IA agency Argus Associates and later as an independent consultant, helping clients like Ford, Paypal, Caterpillar, and the CDC untangle their information problems. He co-founded the Information Architecture Institute, the User Experience Network, and a variety of conferences including The DesignOps Summit, Advancing Research, and the Information Architecture Summit. Lou has edited or co-authored five books, including the IA “bible,” Information Architecture for the Web and Beyond, now in its fourth edition.
